Family Weekend Picnic

Family Weekend is coming up soon and Aggie Welcome & Orientation will be hosting a picnic for all Aggie families! The picnic will take place on Saturday, September 22nd by the NMSU duck pond from 12:00pm-2:30pm. Students are encouraged to invite their families for a fun-filled afternoon before the Centennial football game against UNM. We will also have campus tours available, various NMSU programs will be handing out information and providing fun activities, and there will be chances to win cool prizes!

Aggiefest Scavenger Hunt Winners!

Aggie Welcome & Orientation would like to thank NMSU departments, programs and organizations who participated in this year’s Aggiefest, they helped make it a grand success! The students who came out and learned about all of NMSU’s resources and had some fun doing it also helped make it a successful event. Many students went on a Scavenger Hunt during Aggiefest and we would like to congratulate the winners of the three Scavenger Hunt prizes! Congratulations to Jessica Bambery who won a Net-book, Taylor Lane who won Mini Capsule Speakers and to Caleb Gustin who won a NMSU Sweatshirt Blanket!

Free Open Mic with Something Fresh Productions, Cadence & Ehran Krauel Aug. 31

MicrophoneThis evening’s Open Mic at the Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Café will feature Something Fresh Productions, Cadence & Ehran Krauel. Plus, if you wear crimson, you can get a venti iced tea or iced coffee for just $1. The beverage discount is good all day today.

Crimson Kick-Off!

Join us in supporting the Aggie football team tonight when they play the Sacramento State Hornets! All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to come out and show some team spirit! This year’s freshmen class will join the Pride of New Mexico as they walk onto the field before the game and then have their photo taken.

Labor Day Hours

Taos Restaurant is located on the 1st floor of Corbett Center Student Union

While most of the University will be closed this Monday, Sept. 3, in honor of Labor Day, campus residents will still be able to dine-in or pick up a quick snack at the following locations. Taos Restaurant will open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. inside Corbett Center Student Union, while the Corbett Corner convenience store will open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. The Aggie Express convenience store at Vista Del Monte will open its regular hours, 7 a.m. – 8 p.m., as will the Barnes & Noble at NMSU Bookstore & Café with their regular Monday hours of 7:30 a.m. – 8 p.m. The Player’s Grill at the NMSU Golf Course Clubhouse will open its regular seasonal hours, which can be viewed at NMSUgolf.com.

Papa John’s Pizza will continue to deliver to campus and accepts Aggie Dining Dollars. Call 575-521-3456 to order.

Brantley Gilbert’s Hell on Wheels Tour rolls into the NMSU Pan American Center at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. Along for the ride are special guests Uncle Kracker, Greg Bates and Brian Davis.

Concert On the Green and Crimson Kick-Off!

NMSU’s Pride Marching Band will be performing tonight, Tuesday August 28th at the Corbett Center Outdoor Stage. The performance begins at 7pm, make sure to bring some friends for a beautiful evening of music!
