Your NMSU – A Student Guide to NMSU

Financial literacy is better than funnel cakes any day!

The NMSU Red to Green Money Management Program is proud to announce the Spring 2011 Money Management Fair this Thursday, February 10 in Corbett Center (1st floor) from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.

No, there won’t be funnel cakes or carousel rides. Better than that—there will be money management tips and resources on various financial literacy topics such as: budgeting, identity theft, funding your education, understanding credit, renters’ rights, savings, etc. These are better than a funnel cake or a ride, because it will actually make your goals of graduating a little more attainable.

In addition to information on these financial literacy topics, there will be professional tax people to help you answer your questions regarding your (or your parents’) taxes, a room dedicated to helping you fill-out your FAFSA (if you want to be eligible for federal tax money to get you through school), the NMSU Finance Club offering information, and other groups dedicated to helping you increase your financial literacy.

Oh, and before you leave, don’t forget to grab a hot dog and register to win a $500 credit for the NMSU Bookstore.
